Location: Mid City, Los Angeles, CA - Hybrid (4 Days Onsite)
Pay: $23-$24/hour
Type: Temp-to-Hire

Overview: We are partnering with a nonprofit organization in Los Angeles to find a reliable and people-oriented HR Admin to join their team. This role is heavily focused on onboarding and I-9 verification, with additional responsibilities across general HR administration and employee file management. You will also serve as a go-to resource for employees with HR-related questions, making this a great fit for someone who is organized, approachable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience
  • Complete and verify I-9 documentation in compliance with federal requirements
  • Maintain and organize employee files with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Serve as a main point of contact for employee HR-related questions and requests
  • Support light recruiting tasks as needed
  • Assist with general HR administrative duties across the department

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities without heavy direction
  • Trustworthy and discreet when handling sensitive employee information

Requirements

  • Prior HR admin or HR coordinator experience required
  • I-9 verification experience strongly preferred
  • HRIS experience a plus
  • Experience with Power Bia plus
  • No degree required, relevant experience will be considered

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
