Summary:

The Materials Management Specialist is responsible for processing inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and maintain the integrity of materials data. This role provides essential support to the Materials Management department as needed, which includes generating reports and assisting with various departmental projects.

Additionally, the position serves as backup support for key Materials Management functions. These responsibilities include creating requisitions, assisting with material master data creation, and participating in catalog cleanup activities to support overall materials accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and process material requests and inventory transactions in SAP.
  • Create and maintain STO requisitions in SAP Fiori, including updates and communication with stakeholders.
  • Support and maintain the SAP materials catalog, including new item creation, data cleanup, and catalog updates.
  • Assist with internal asset transfers and Bills of Sale when needed.
  • Run and upload periodic reports; maintain SharePoint records and FileNet document scans.
  • Assist in locating surplus, critical inventory, MTRs, certs, and market values for materials.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Surplus Equipment Listing residing on the SharePoint site as well as ensuring data is maintained and up to date.
  • Assist warehouse with depreciation configuration as needed.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Participate in SAP system testing during upgrades or acquisitions.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

Required experience is equivalent with the selected job level:

  • The Associate Specialist level requires 0-2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • The Specialist level requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • The Senior Specialist level requires 5-8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • The Lead Specialist level requires 8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Essential Requirements

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Sense of urgency
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of energy industry related materials, specifically natural gas, NGL and/or crude system
  • Strong analytical reasoning/ research skills and the ability to make recommendations and take action based on data

Working Conditions

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
