As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Hurlock, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support site personnel with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout production areas, loading docks, warehouses, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access, and support site rules involving deliveries, shipping and receiving traffic, and restricted operational areas.
• Assist with emergency situations, medical events, evacuations, and/or facility disruptions by following post orders and communicating clearly with employees, first responders, and/or supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
