• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in industrial health and safety
• MIOSHA Level 2 Certification (General Industry)
• Storm Water Management Certified Operator (Michigan DEQ)
• Strong organizational and communication skills, including public speaking
• Ability to work effectively with employees across all levels

Day-to-Day

• Maintain MIOSHA 300 logs, annual reporting, and manage workers' compensation cases
• Develop and update safety programs and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead accident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
• Maintain the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
• Conduct safety audits and facility walkthroughs; report findings and implement solutions
• Manage the Safety Committee, including agendas and member coordination
• Track and maintain employee training records and safety matrix (PLEX system)
• Coordinate and deliver safety training programs (LOTO, forklift, aerial lift, hazard communication, PPE, etc.)
• Manage PPE inventory and safety supplies
• Enforce safety policies and provide guidance to employees on procedures and compliance
• Support additional administrative and safety-related tasks
