What You'll Need

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in manufacturing
• Basic electrical/chemical knowledge
• HAZWOPR Certificate, Hazardous Materials and Emergency Response Training
• Ability to use a drum dolly and pallet jack
• Frequent moving and lifting materials of 30 lbs. or more
• Frequent bending, squatting, stooping, and crouching per day
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, and more than 4 hours per day
• Detail-oriented
• Basic computer knowledge
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Visually inspect the quality of the copper shiny side to identify defects such as stains, Wrinkles, among others. Assist with troubleshooting the source of defects when visible.
• Walk the Production Line and check temperatures (manually), solution levels, spray rinses, squeegees, and other parts of the line. Replenish water as necessary due to evaporation.
• Check the Mixing Room: solution levels for evaporation, and other aspects as required.
• Process samples for testing, including cutting, lamination, ammonia copper strip, trim samples, electrical test, and document results.
• Make necessary line adjustments to prevent defects, such as changing tape on the Dichromate roller, adjusting Idler rollers, adjusting squeegees, among others, when required.
• Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance activities, which include pumping/transferring chemicals, cleaning tanks, changing filters, cleaning drums, changing tape, etc.
• Removal of scrap copper and paper from the roll/core for proper disposal/recycling.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment around the plating line.
