We're actively seeking a Buyer to support our Austin, TX client in a fast-paced, shortage-driven environment where speed, execution, and problem-solving are critical to keeping production on track. This is a high-urgency, execution-focused position responsible for resolving material shortages and ensuring production continuity. You'll work closely with suppliers, brokers, and engineering teams to recover constrained materials and prevent disruption. Key Responsibilities: Own end-to-end resolution of material shortages Source parts through open market channels and broker networks Evaluate supplier offers (cost, risk, lead time, authenticity) Partner with Procurement Engineering on alternates and substitutions Expedite orders and recover past-due deliveries Communicate proactively with suppliers and internal stakeholders Looking for: 1+ year of Buyer or Supply Chain experience Experience with open market sourcing / brokers Strong sense of urgency and decision-making ability Confident communicator who can drive supplier accountability ERP/MRP systems and Excel proficiency Someone who enjoys being hands-on, organized, and thrives under pressure.
