Become our next Accounts Payable Specialist in New Iberia and help manage invoices, receipts, and payment tracking. If balancing worksheets, clearing queues, and staying ahead of the numbers feels good, this role is built for you.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role
• Experience working with ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics GP; exposure to or transition experience with Viewpoint Vista is a plus
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, including invoice matching and payment processing
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a mid- to large-sized organization
• Familiarity with construction or project-based accounting environments (if applicable)
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
• Assist with issuing and maintaining purchase orders as needed
• Prepare and execute check runs, ACH, and other payment methods
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice and payment inquiries
• Support month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
