Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour | Depending on Experience

Shift: (Monday - Friday | 2 PM - 10:30 PM) OR (3rd Shift | 10 PM - 6:30 AM)

If you know your way around gears, grease, and grit, this Maintenance Mechanic job in Gastonia is for you. Keep the shop running tight, the crew safe, and the machines humming every shift.

The Know-How That's Needed

• Diploma or GED gets you started; tech certs make you stand out
• 4 years of maintaining manufacturing equipment
• Forklift certification
• Familiar with TIG welding
• Hydraulic press experience
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

What the Shift Looks Like

• Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors, and adjusts feed mechanisms.
• Cleans and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
• Replaces or repairs machine belts.
• Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
• Paints machines or equipment to prevent corrosion.
• Bends, cuts, and threads pipe, cuts openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes, and seals pipe joints with sealing compound.
• Assemble, reconfigure, or move parts for workstations & other furnishings.
• Patches or replaces plasterboard and paints walls, ceilings, and trim of the building.
• Clears clogged drains and replaces plumbing fixtures.
• Operates a welding machine to repair or join metal parts.
• Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
• Operates forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts as required.
• Performs other routine duties as necessary.
