Responsibilities Job Summary The Specialty APP Supervisor is responsible for the APP practice model in the assigned specialty clinics and affiliated clinical pathways and programs. This includes the oversight of the APPs' outpatient practices and care rendered in inpatient hospitals. The APP Supervisor collaborates with multiple professionals to support and coordinate the provision/management of patient care. This role will also work with the specialty physician leadership to develop and execute clinical and programmatic goals aligned with the overall specialty practice and the specialty strategic objectives and initiatives. The APP Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective care, based on competency and evidence based clinical practice and research. The APP Supervisor will collaborate closely with physicians and administrative practice operational leaders to provide applicable clinical expertise, clinical leadership, and necessary programmatic development for assigned specialty within the HonorHealth Medical Group. The APP Supervisor will collaborate with physicians and administrative leaders to bridge or align practice-based programs and services with the service line's hospital-based programs and services. This role collaborates with members of the healthcare team to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in their assigned practice. This position emphasizes health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, and the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. Clinical and programmatic oversight of affiliated specialty APPs and clinical support staff in collaboration with organizational leaders will enable a standardized and skilled approach to building evidence-based programs. In addition to providing both direct patient care and supervision of the APPs, this role will supervise and ensure appropriate coverage, perform evaluations, and establish education and training protocols within their specialty. The APP Supervisor will assist in assessing affiliated staffing needs, and participate in recruitment, onboarding, and retention within the practice. The APP Supervisor adheres to and functions within the scope of practice defined by regulatory agencies and the organization. Adherence to evidence-based advanced practices and utilizes a Shared Governance model for decision-making. The APP Supervisor focuses on performance standards that act in accordance with the organization's initiatives and scorecard. This role will prioritize and aim to foster and improve patient care quality, improve clinical effectiveness, and nurture a culture of patient safety. This role will focus on both the clinical programs and the people by working to connect with team members, demonstrate care for employees, and work to improve overall team wellbeing. This role will support finance and growth by optimizing services, improving clinical efficiency, and engaging with all the members of the care team to foster collaboration among providers and allied healthcare staff. This individual possesses an ability to work with all levels of staff within a multidisciplinary group, with a significant level of administrative and clinical autonomy, the APP Supervisor is highly motivated and able to work independently. Serving as a clinician, supervisor, and program leader, functions as a mentor, educator, and researcher. Essential Functions
