Preliminary Designer - Porter Corp

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Translate initial design ideas and sketches into preliminary 2D or 3D drawings using design software to match quote requests.
2. Identify, and address any missing information, discrepancies, or potential design issues early on with the assigned Sales Success or Engineering team members to ensure the issues are resolved.
3. Communicate and collaborate with Sales Success and Engineering to resolve any potential roadblocks and provide feedback to refine preliminary designs to meet customer expectations.
4. Manage preliminary design processes to ensure coordination with the quoting process and adherence to lead-times provided to customers.

Education and/or Experience

1. Must possess a high school diploma. Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.

Travel

This position requires minimal to no travel

Computer Skills

1. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI and Outlook).
2. Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP, Hubspot-CRM, Quest, Design Software or similar systems, preferred.
