SkyWater Technology's Procurement and Logistics team is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Materials Senior Associate to support our semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for the receipt, storage, issuance, and shipment of materials critical to factory production. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment and demonstrates strong attention to detail, ownership, and teamwork.


Responsibilities:



  • Operate assigned equipment within a designated bay as a subject matter expert in that area.
  • Receive, inspect, stock, and issue materials using the NetSuite ERP system.
  • Perform standard warehouse functions including cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and kit-building.
  • Support daily factory-critical material requirements to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Prepare, package, label, and document shipments in accordance with applicable hazardous materials regulations when required.
  • Communicate daily inventory levels and shipping status to site stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper gowning procedures and safety standards are strictly followed at all times.
  • Adhere to established guidelines, standard operating procedures, and company policies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and leadership teams.


Required Qualifications



  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse, inventory control, or logistics roles, preferably within semiconductor or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, lead when necessary, and function effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience interacting with all levels of management and operational personnel.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, respond effectively in urgent situations, and consistently enforce organizational policies and standards.
  • Must obtain and maintain certification in 49 CFR (U.S. DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations) and IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) within one (1) year of hire, in accordance with regulatory and company compliance requirements.

  • Ability to work A Shift defined as Sunday through Tuesday in one week, and Sunday through Wednesday in the other week, from 6:00 am - 6:15 pm, 12.25 hours per day, with a 30-minute unpaid meal period in mid-shift.


  • US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of, or ability to obtain, a US government security clearance.


Physical Requirements



  • To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, the employee must:
  • Frequently sit, walk, talk, and hear.
  • Use hands for keyboarding, handling materials, and operating equipment.
  • Regularly stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
  • Routinely move throughout the facility.
  • Lift and/or move materials weighing 30-50 pounds.

The hourly range for this role is $20.46 - $30.69 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
