Job Description: Airbus Americas, Inc is looking for a Logistics Process Engineer II (SAP/EWM) to join our team based in Mobile, AL. The Logistics Process Engineer II (SAP/EWM) is responsible for analyzing, maintaining and improving organizational performance across the logistics perimeter of site Mobile. The position will be responsible for working with Airbus's Warehousing Department, as well as, the Logistics Service Provider (LSP) to review and design logistics flows to improve operational efficiency and reduce cost. Primary goal is to design, implement, and optimize the systems that move material across the site. The Logistics Process Engineer II will also work closely with the LSP's engineers, logistics team members, analysts and, Lineside managers to ensure quality measures are adhered to, while also improving overall delivery metrics. This position will be seen as the focal for SAP transactions, enhancing current system outputs, and must have a firm understanding of the Extended Warehousing Management (EWM) application within SAP. He/She will provide recommended training and counseling to staff. Is responsible for drafting and maintaining detailed Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions to ensure effective workflows and alignment across organizational structures. The job holder will also participate in Airbus internal benchmarking initiatives in order to ensure cross-fertilization and implementation of best practices in terms of logistics footprint optimization across Airbus sites. Your Challenges: Analyze and improve Warehousing flows to support FAL Mobile's ability to ramp up production rates: 75%
Analyzes existing processes and procedures, identifies gaps and inefficiencies, develops and implements systematic solutions within SAP/EWM and ensures effective standard operating procedures and work instructions are in place and aligned across programs Act as focal for the selection and implementation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and ERP modules Develop and implement Mobile Site Logistics and Distribution strategies for both the A320 and A220 FAL Operations to achieve rate ramp-up annual deliveries Conduct distribution of aircraft parts, monitor inventory processes, and analyze requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times Provide guidance and work leadership to less experienced staff members and may have supervisor responsibilities Participate in and present technical information in team and customer meetings Coordinates with Program Planning and Procurement inventory requirements to ensure sufficient surface capacity within Distribution Center (DC) & Logistics Center (LC) (marketplace) to meet forecasted demand required to achieve rate increases across both programs Provide logistics technology recommendations and support; iIncluding Warehouse Management System migration Evaluate and integrate automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and AI-driven predictive analytics for demand forecasting Assist Logistics Service Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining logistic metrics, internal analysis tools, and Key Performance Indicators End-to-End implementation of required solutions including budget management and Multi-Functional Team lead in close cooperation with the Logistics Service Provider (LSP)
Responsible for the Logistics Surface related performance & the associated warehouse flows: 20%
MFT co-lead regarding densification strategies, extension of existing logistical facilities or creation and design of new logistics surface project in collaboration with the Logistics Surfaces Coordinator. Ensure Mobile ramp-up capability regarding Logistics facilities and footprint are in line with A220 / A320 Program planning Benchmarking and best practices within Airbus and industry wide on optimized logistics storage solutions

Your Boarding Pass:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related technical field
Advanced knowledge of designing, enhancing, and applying use of SAP/EWM/Warehouse Management Systems Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a logistics or manufacturing engineering environment SAP S/4HANA and Extended Warehousing Management Systems experience preferred Minimum 5 years of proven project management experience Experience working with an external service provider preferred Experience within a Foreign Trade Zone Manufacturing Environment preferred Advanced oral and written communication skills are required along with comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures and work flow processes Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and six sigma principles
Licensure/Certifications:
SAP Certified Specialist - SAP S/4HANA Conversion and SAP System Upgrade SAP Certified Development Professional (preferred) Introduction of common operation-instructions of plant processes Analyzing and improving processes in accordance with Six-Sigma-methods (green belt preferred) Occupational health and safety regulations
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Advanced Excel and SQL; experience with simulation tools (e.g., AnyLogic or Simio).Experience with enhancing, designing, and implementing Ability to decompose complex logistical hurdles into actionable engineering projects Translating technical data into strategic insights for executive leadership.
