Description

Essential Functions:

Implement & operate new technology. Investigate & suggest safety, cost, productivity improvements to current and upcoming automated systems. When needed, help design specialty tools and equipment to improve safety, quality, and productivity in operations. Provide feedback and suggestions to automation engineers on designs and improvements

Setup, program and operate automated systems.

Take direction from Automation Manager, Automation Supervisor, Automation Engineer to complete tasks for multiple projects

Provide immediate support to operations & maintenance on automated systems

Act as a liaison between operations maintenance & Automation Engineers

Assist the implementation of ideas and/or special projects, knowing the resources necessary to obtain information to complete projects.

Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades

Write and edit robotic programs needed to produce parts for the project or customer.

Assist in training new automation operators

Assist Automation Engineers with data management needed to produce parts for automation projects & systems

Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The minimum level of education and experience required to perform the job.

Bachelor's or Associates Degree in engineering/technical discipline OR

Minimum one (1) year of operations experience with robotic operations preferred

Must posses a valid drivers license

The ability to travel and be gone for a week or more if required (new equipment installations, shows, seminars, training, customer visits, alternate plant locations, etc)

Experience and Skills Required:

Recent mechanical & shop experience that includes the following skills and abilities:

Working knowledge of technology and company products and processes

Robotic operations experience

Robotic programming knowledge preferred (Fanuc, ABB, Universal Robots)

Ability to show initiative by seeking out & identifying new Automation opportunities within the company

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Capability of working with a high degree of personal discipline.

Compensation Salary Range: OTC7 $28.15- $39.44 related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match etc.
