About Department 472 - Reactor Plant Planning Yard The Reactor Plant Planning Yard (RPPY) provides Engineering, Design, and Logistics life cycle support to all fleet submarines, the Moored Training Ships, and the S8G Prototype. The organization maintains technical expertise for nuclear and non-nuclear propulsion plant systems and equipment. Our mission is to provide the US Navy five-star support that increases submarine Operational Availability and Capability. The Propulsion Plant Provisioning group performs supply support functions for all submarine and training platforms. The team works closely together to solve problems for the NAVY every day to help support the mission to keep the fleet stocked and operational. Role Overview This position is responsible for the technical review and oversight of development and maintenance of Rector and Propulsion Plant Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD) for Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) in support of all classes of submarines, training platforms, and shipyards. Key Responsibilities
Ensure that PTDs are technically correct and issued within the budget and time constraints of the schedule, while maintaining quality, to meet ship key events
