Details about the Director of Innovative Programming position we are hiring for: The purpose of this position is to lead the design, development, and evolution of our resident engagement model. The Director of Innovative Programming will act as the primary architect of the resident experience, setting the vision for programming while partnering closely with the on-site Life Inspired Director, who will lead day-to-day execution and logistics. The Director of Innovative Programming will build and maintain positive working relationships with all community members, community member's families, staff members and throughout the geographic area of the community serves.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Gerontology, Hospitality, Wellness, or related field preferred and/or master's degree in health administration.
- High level of ability in effective and succinct communication, written and oral with residents, families, staff, vendors and the public.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
- Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
- Practice and promote Meridian Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values and Founding Principles.
- Demonstrated ability to build, evolve, or transform programming.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Experience developing partnerships and external relationship.
- Ability to set up and train volunteers.
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Passion for enhancing the lives of older adults through meaningful engagement.
- Ability to represent the Community in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff.
- Maintain applicable state requirements of dementia specific training.
- Requires current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Must have valid driver's license without restrictions.
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks.
