Summary
Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing patient safety initiatives. This role focuses on promoting a culture of safety, analyzing safety data, and collaborating with clinical staff to enhance patient care and minimize risk.
Essential Functions
-Lead the development and implementation of patient safety programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
-Conduct comprehensive analyses of patient safety events, including incidents, near misses, and adverse events, to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
-Collaborate with clinical teams to promote safety awareness and ensure adherence to established safety protocols and guidelines.
-Facilitate training and education sessions for staff on patient safety practices, error prevention strategies, and reporting mechanisms.
-Monitor and analyze patient safety data and metrics, preparing reports for hospital leadership and quality committees to highlight trends and areas for improvement.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Nursing required

Experience
3-5 years experience in clinical practice, quality improvement, or patient safety required.

2-3 years experience within a hospital or healthcare setting required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable safety initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in data management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to lead projects and initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and work independently.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to patient safety and quality improvement.
