Description

The Sales Manager- Contracts is responsible for driving profitable growth by expanding our customer base and increasing sales within a specified geographic territory. Overseeing and managing all contractual agreements and program business. This position ensures pricing, inventory and operational requirements are met while optimizing profitability and mitigating risk. The Contract Manager collaborates closely with sales, purchasing and operations to implement and manage our portfolio of contractual and program accounts.



  • Responsibility for customer contracts and pricing agreement ensuring that the pricing models match supply chain while providing suggestions on how we can elongate margins on the buy side and applications. This will require collaboration with internal stakeholders to develop strategies based on customer requirements.
  • Responsibility to maintain accurate records of all contracts and track key performance metrics while monitoring compliance with contract terms, including delivery schedules, quality standards and pricing.
  • Responsibility to develop and implement inventory plans to ensure customer requirements are met along with divisional and corporate goals and identify all discrepancies and provide a plan of action.
  • Responsibility to assess risk associated with contracts and propose strategies to minimize potential issues.
  • Responsibility for continuous improvement. Must identify opportunities to steamline contract management processes and analyze contract performance metrics and recommend process improvements.
  • Responsibility to stay informed of industry trends, market conditions and mill lead times that may affect this portfolio of business.
  • Responsibility to work with sales and purchasing teams to manage pricing, applications, customer performance and program performance both internally and externally. This includes coordinating with the purchasing and operations team to ensure supply chain alignment with contractual obligations and inventory goals while communicating contract changes, updates and key details to relevant departments.
  • Knowledge of the steel industry, including products, pricing and market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiations, drafting and legal terminology.
  • Skilled at customer service and interpersonal, verbal and written communication. Must have excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate risk and contract performance.
  • Proficient in SEMS and contract management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • 5+ Years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related role (experience in steel service centers or manufacturing preferred).
  • Setting: Office
  • Travel Time: 15% with occasional visits to other Olympic divisions and customer locations.
  • May require extended hours to meet deadlines or address urgent contract matters
