Optometric Assistant Mechanicsville, VA Pay From: $20 per hour MUST: 1+ year of recent experience in the eye care/optical field Experience fitting patients with glasses and assisting with frame selections Knowledge of various lenses, design and fit Reviewing explanation of benefits with patients Interpreting prescriptions Experience processing and collecting payments Verifying insurance Processing eye glass orders and contact lenses Must have strong verbal and written communication skills Must have experience scheduling appointments DUTIES: Assist patients with selecting glasses Ensure proper fit of frames Verify insurance benefits Review explanation of benefits with patients Place orders for glasses and contact lenses Collect and process payments Answer phones Schedule appointments Check patients in Assist patients with selecting and ordering eye glasses including frames and lenses Prepare and review patient charts Clean displays Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
