Is Looking for An Operations Specialist II

The Operations Specialist II with Aon Business Services - Affinity Integrated Services and will support our Specialty Professions Program Fort Washington, PA.

This position is for a hybrid schedule, in office and remote throughout the week.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responding to client inquiries:

Responsible for responding to client inquiries for new, renewal, and endorsement processes, including conducting account research as needed to clarify coverage, billing, and policy history. This colleague assesses the needs of the client and can act as advisor or processor, depending on the request. The colleague must be licensed due to the advisory capacity he/she must fill. If the need is transactional, the colleague would process the request based on program rules and underwriting guidelines within the policy management system and then respond in written form. While templates are in place, due to the nature of the request, the colleague will need the ability to revise templates or create freeform responses. Process rush requests as needed.

  • Financial Transactions

Handle monthly accounting inquiries and ad hoc requests such as A/R reports, cash logs, credit balances, and process payments as needed, as well as push rates live each month for all clients. Perform account research to identify discrepancies, determine appropriate corrections, and ensure accurate and timely resolution of issues. Partner with internal teams as needed to obtain supporting information and finalize adjustments.

  • System Support

Once sufficiently trained, assist with user support, training of colleagues, system testing, and the implementation of process or system changes.

  • Reporting

Assist with reporting tasks as required, including data extraction, tracking, and consolidation into viewable reports. This includes tracking Operations statistics and updating reports daily, maintaining the weekly Problem Roster, and preparing and sending weekly Cancellation and Ledger lists to carrier partners.

  • Quality Control

Conducts regular quality control audits on both external vendor work and internal processing to ensure accuracy and adherence to standard operating procedures. Collaborates with offshore vendor partners to maintain production and quality standards.

Maintaining Procedures

Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), templates, and reference materials to reflect changes in programs, guidelines, or system functionality.

  • Special projects as assigned

Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, to support process improvement and operational efficiency.

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of business experience, preferably in the insurance industry. Prior Insurance industry work experience preferred
  • Excellent reading comprehension and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, and Teams
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracyand customer service focus
  • Demonstrated use of sound judgment skills with solid decision-making abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and independently prioritize work
  • Strong Independent problem-solving skills and ability to follow established procedures and guidelines
  • Basic Math Skills, including accurate computation and reconciliation

Preferred experience:

  • Property and Casualty license preferred
  • Required to obtain the P&C license within 6 months of hire date

Education:

  • High School
  • Some college or relevant work experience preferred

Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $52,000 to $58,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
