We are searching for a Catering Sales Manager who is focused on the social market to mainly include weddings. If you fit the qualifications so far, there are just a couple more. The ideal candidate will have wedding market experience, but it isn't required. Marriott experience is a plus, but not required. This position does require previous hotel catering sales experience.



JOB OVERVIEW:

This role is accountable for maximizing banquet food & beverage revenue, meeting room rental and guestroom income while ensuring exceptional guest service standards. The position works closely with all hotel departments to deliver seamless group and event experiences that enhance the hotel's reputation within the business and social communities.




  • Sales & Revenue Generation: Proactively solicit new social business through networking and lead generation, achieving quarterly/annual revenue targets.
  • Event Planning: Act as the primary contact for clients, planning, detailing, and organizing social events, weddings, and parties.
  • Contracting: Negotiate contracts, detailing menus, beverage options, diagrams, set-up arrangements, and pricing to maximize revenue.
  • Client Relations: Conduct site visits, food tastings, and provide exceptional customer service to build lasting relationships.
  • Operational Liaison: Coordinate with the chef, banquet manager, and operations team to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with linen and cake company, among other planners/vendors to ensure seamless preparation for event execution.



This position requires extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage etiquette, guest relations and service standards. Strong interpersonal skills to assess client needs, negotiate pricing and provide overall guest satisfaction. Effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy. Presents a professional appearance and manner. Familiarity with the Southeast Asian Wedding Market is preferred.
