Description -Responsible for clerical and reception duties related to patient scheduling and registration. -Serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring their needs are met. - Schedules patient visits and procedures for multiple hospitals and outpatient centers. - Coordinates with various departments and follows clinical protocols. - Responds to patient questions and concerns, directing them to the appropriate department. - Maintains ongoing communication with clinical staff regarding realtime patient status. - Collaborates with medical staff to optimize scheduling efficiency and effectiveness. - Multitasks across several technology systems. - Collects and enters demographic, clinical, billing, and insurance information. - Provides patient education by explaining preparation and instructions for scheduled procedures. - Informs patients of possible copays and deductibles due at the time of service. - Reviews and analyzes financial information from the registration system and communicates it to patients and the business office. Additional Skills & Qualifications - High school diploma or GED. - At least one year of Medical Records or Patient Access - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to multitask and navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.50/hr.
