Must reside in TX, IL, NJ, OH, DE, MD, PA, VA, NC, GA, or FL

Your role in our success:
The SAP Integration Lead independently leads and handles all requirements and coordination with vendors and SIs with minimum supervision. The lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing integration solutions across SAP and nonSAP systems. This role ensures seamless data flow, system interoperability, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards. It requires deep expertise in SAP technologies, middleware platforms, and integrations.
What you'll be working on:
Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Partner with SAP functional leads (Finance, IS-U, Billing, EAM, HR), application owners, security, and platform teams to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Translate business processes into integration contracts and SLAs; facilitate design reviews and UAT.
  • Independently lead endtoend integration initiatives across SAP and nonSAP systems with minimal supervision.
  • Serve as the primary integration point of contact for business stakeholders, vendors, and Systems Integrators (SIs).
  • Enforce enterprise integration standards, patterns, and best practices (APIled, eventdriven, asynchronous where appropriate).
  • Lead integration governance, including design reviews, interface standards, naming/versioning, and lifecycle management.
  • Act as technical lead and decision authority for integration design and implementation.

Solution Design & Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy iFlows using SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI) following APIled and eventdriven patterns.
  • Implement integrations across REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP/FTP, IDoc, RFC/Proxy, JMS/AMQP.
  • Build reusable assets (templates, canonical schemas, policy sets) and enforce naming/versioning standards.

Technical Expertise

  • Write efficient, maintainable Groovy scripts for mappings, validations, exception handling, and custom adapters.
  • Work with XML, JSON, CSV, XSLT, message mappings, and content-based routing.
  • Apply integration patterns: request/reply, pub/sub, async messaging, orchestration, scattergather, reliable delivery.

System & Data Integrity

  • Ensure highquality, consistent data flow between SAP and nonSAP systems; protect PII and sensitive data via encryption, masking, secure credentials.
  • Align with SAP data models (IDocs, BAPIs, Business Events, CDS exposure).

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Own L2/L3 integration incident support; perform RCA and implement preventive fixes.
  • Use CPI monitoring, message tracing, SAP Cloud ALM/SolMan (or equivalent), and alerting to meet SLAs.

API Management

  • Publish and secure APIs via SAP API Management (OAuth2/JWT, API keys, mTLS, caching, traffic shaping, quotas, spike arrest).
  • Govern APIs across dev/test/prod with consistent versioning, documentation, and lifecycle controls.

Documentation & Delivery Operations

  • Produce design specs, sequence diagrams, interface catalogs, runbooks, operational guides.
  • Manage transports via BTP TMS, CTS+/gCTS, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
  • Establish automated testing with Postman/ReadyAPI, mocks, regression suites.

Performance & Cost Optimization

  • Monitor throughput, latency, error rates; optimize mappings, batching, adapter choices.
  • Manage CPEA consumption: track entitlements, select optimal service plans, rightsize tenants/subaccounts.

Who you are:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (foreign equivalent accepted).
  • Work Experience: 7+ years of handson experience with SAP and nonSAP integrations, including BTP Integration Suite (CPI) designing, building, and operating iFlows.
  • Driver's License: Regular Driver's License.
  • Licensure/Certification: SAP BTP Integration Suite certification preferred.
  • Strong Groovy scripting; ABAP knowledge (proxies/BAPIs/IDocs) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns, protocols, middleware: REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP/FTP, JSON, XML, XSLT, JMS/AMQP.
  • Working knowledge of SAP integration points with S/4HANA/ECC (IDoc/BAPI/ALE/Proxy) and common cloud/SaaS endpoints.
  • Experience with SAP Cloud Connector, Destinations, XSUAA, secure credential management, OAuth2/SAML.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; fluent with CPI monitoring and logs.
  • Excellent communication skills for mixed technical and business audiences.
