We're seeking a strategic, hands-on Social Media Director to develop and scale our executive thought leadership social media program. The Director will partner with key stakeholders across the organization to build executive visibility around priority narratives and activate employee engagement that extends reach and credibility. The ideal candidate blends platform fluency, executive stakeholder management, experience operating in a regulated environment and can execute with excellence-translating our business strategy into social media impact.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategy of our thought leadership social media program, ensuring integration into our broader executive visibility platform, social media strategy and reputational framework
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure strategic content alignment with our key narratives, keeping in mind an ever-changing environment, establishing an enterprise-wide content calendar
  • Serve as strategic council to communications leaders and our executive team
  • Provide hands on support for key thought leaders, from consultation to posting and community management
  • Explore first in class opportunities for thought leaders with platform partners like LinkedIn and Instagram, creating business cases for leadership approval
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards for real-time visibility and streamlined report for the enterprise
  • Develop a library of resources for key stakeholders to educate and empower, ensuring distribution and adoption
  • Operationalize executive community management, listening and relevant escalation processes with Insights & Intelligence, Social Care and Security
  • Manage paid strategy for amplification of thought leader content while partnering with agency to ensure alignment
  • Develop high-impact bespoke content plans for actively managed executives' key events, award wins, etc.
  • Partner with video lead to create best practices for executive video content capture
  • Partner with search/GEO lead to ensure integration of our thought leadership program into broader reputational strategies
  • Partner with executive security to create and execute digital footprint best practices
  • Partner with people team and talent acquisition to create content strategies to drive recruitment
  • Explore employee advocacy pilot program for the enterprise in partnership with communications and marketing leaders
  • Consult with marketing and sales-social media program leaders on program enhancements
  • Use data to refine strategy, measure impact, and guide continuous improvement
  • Manage and mentor Specialists, ensuring a collaborative environment

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in social media, corporate communications, or digital content
  • Experience with reputation management, issues/crisis communications, public relations and coordination with Legal/Compliance
  • Deep understanding of platform algorithms, audience development, and modern video/storytelling
  • Proven success building executive visibility on social media and driving employee engagement
  • Proven fluency with social tools (e.g., Sprout/Sprinklr/Hootsuite), employee advocacy platforms (e.g., LiveSocial/DSMN8), analytics (native/Adobe) and social listening (e.g., Brandwatch)
  • Proven exceptional stakeholder management; comfortable coaching senior leaders
  • Proven solid project management, prioritization, and data-driven decision-making

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $134,600 to $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
