As a Security Officer - Visitor Screening in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas while conducting screening at key entry points. You will support routine patrols, operate screening equipment, and document observations to help reduce security-related incidents. With an agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will deliver through teamwork, strong communication, and integrity while providing customer service to drivers, employees, and visitors.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors and drivers for authorized entry using established checkpoint procedures, verifying identification, appointments and/or access permissions.
• Monitor and control access points, direct traffic flow for check-in and staging areas and document entries, exits and refusals per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, such as entrances, staging lanes, trailers and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards to operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Supervisory experience is required.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
