Role:

Entails operation and repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment and associated equipment including preventive maintenance program of entire hotel & casino property.

Responsibilities:

Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance to assigned areas.
Operates HVAC equipment including remote auxiliary equipment.
Takes frequent readings on all gauges on all property equipment and refrigeration equipment and maintain logs.
Checks all air handling units once per week and programming A/C schedules for all meeting rooms daily.
Performs all maintenance including preventive maintenance.
Responds to all emergency conditions.
Assists General Maintenance on technical problems.
Assists the manager in emergency situations.
Performs preventive maintenance to all equipment and record history in log.
Orders and receives materials related to area and maintain orderly inventory.
Familiarizes self with and completes all paperwork associated with preventive maintenance program.
Maintains good housekeeping practices in shop and work areas.
Assists in other areas in repairs.
Maintains knowledge of property information and memorabilia.
Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

A. Knowledge: The level of education, experience, and training an individual must have at minimum to be considered qualified for the position.
B. Skills: Specific skills such as computer usage, communication, 10-key touch, etc.
C. Abilities: The physical components of the job and how the physical aspect is accomplished. Does the position require LIFTING 50 pounds, or does it require one to MOVE 50 pounds. Can the 50 pounds be moved using a dolly or cart? (Examples: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, color vision, etc.)

Qualifications:

High School diploma general education (GED) and five years related experience.
2nd Class Air Conditioning and Steam Boilers license preferred.
Universal EPA Certification.
Five years experience in mechanical.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Must be able to silver braze and soft solder.
Background in mechanical training from a recognized institution.
Ability to perform plumbing duties (i.e. run copper and PVC plumbing lines, operate snakes, etc.)
Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Maintain flexibility to handle changing priorities.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to exercise initiative and a sense of urgency.
Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.
Strong tactical skills.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all employees and guests.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Training:
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
