Your Job
As a Sourcing Engineer supporting New Product Development (NPD), you will play a critical role in bringing innovative products to life. You'll partner closely with engineering, procurement, and category management teams in Lisle and across global regions to develop sourcing strategies that ensure flawless product launches.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility individual contributor role supporting multiple product lines, commodities, and global programs simultaneously. Success in this role requires agility, strong organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple BOM revisions and shifting priorities.

If you enjoy influencing design decisions, building global supplier partnerships, and driving cost competitiveness from concept to launch, this is the opportunity for you.

Our Team

You will join the CCS team within Global Category Management, a highly collaborative group that partners across North America and Europe to support product innovation and operational excellence.

What makes this role exciting: Exposure to global sourcing strategies and international supplier networks

  • Direct involvement in new product launches
  • Opportunity to influence margin improvement and value creation

At Molex, we operate under a Principle Based Management (PBM) philosophy, empowering employees to create long-term value while continuously developing their capabilities.

What You Will Do

  • Partner closely with engineering and product teams, giving you a seat at the table to influence design, supplier selection, and overall strategy, not just execute it
  • Build and develop a global supplier network, giving you exposure to new technologies, markets, and innovations
  • Own meaningful negotiations and cost strategies that have a visible impact on business performance and profitability
  • Solve real supply chain challenges, proactively identifying risks and creating solutions before they impact production
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities evolve and your ability to adapt and problem-solve sets you apart
  • Gain broad cross-functional exposure and build business acumen that positions you for future growth opportunities
  • Be part of a culture that values innovation, continuous improvement, and creating long-term impact, not just short-term results

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or advanced purchasing
  • Foundational understanding of purchasing principles with the ability to work across various commodities
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multi-program environments
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in English, both verbally and in writing for collaboration across global teams
  • Experience with SAP or similar procurement systems
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management or related degree type

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience sourcing industrial, metal, mechanical, injection molded, or related commodities
  • Background supporting consumer, commercial, or industrial product environments
  • Strong expertise in supplier negotiations focused on BOM cost optimization and margin improvement
  • Experience performing cost breakdown and total landed cost analysis
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and persuasion skills
  • Ability to manage multiple commodities and programs simultaneously with strong organizational discipline
