Job Description:

The Service Center Machine Shop is looking for a CNC Machinist to set up, program, and machine Castings, Steel, Aluminum, and Brass materials.

Job Responsibilities:

The individual in the assignment will perform skilled machinist duties in the OSC Machine Shop operations. Duties include, operating a variety of Lathes, Milling, Grinding, and deburring machines. Drill Press, Manual and auto saws, and Bridgeport machine operations. The Machine Shop is responsible for the manufacturing of a variety of lower-level components required for mechanical assemblies. Additionally, the Machine Shop supports the Service Parts business for shutdowns and short lead-time demands.

Experience/Qualifications:


  • Ability to adhere to the Otis' Absolutes of Safety, Ethics, and Quality required.
  • Understanding of G-Code, FANUC, and Mazatrol programming.
  • Ability to use specialized inspection equipment to ensure quality.
  • Machining experience with castings and Raw Material.
  • Maintaining Machine TPM on a scheduled basis
  • Able to independently set up machines for production use.
  • Ability to read and interpret programs, prints, and coordination sheets.
  • Able to verify correct speed and feed rates for tooling and materials.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to participate in annual inventory.

  • All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as required.


Education

Trade School Education or 3+ years Trade Experience
