Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as a theorist and designer. Develop solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software. Develop and deploy predictive machine learning models to estimate the severity of insurance claims early-on in the claim’s life cycle using Python, Py Spark, and Azure. Improve information retrieval systems using NER, Generative AI (Flan-T5, Gemini, Chat GPT) and transformer-based models (BERT). Research and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) powered LLM. systems using vector databases (FAISS), quantization, and fine-tuning (LoRa) to improve feature extraction from unstructured data. Position requires a Master of Science Degree in Operations Research, or equivalent. U.S. permanent work authorization required.
