Job Description: This role strengthens JHS's ability to adopt new processes, systems, technologies, and operational ways of working across IT, Operations, Engineering, HR, customer-facing teams, and health & safety functions. It focuses on preparing teams for upcoming changes, reducing uncertainty and disruption, increasing readiness, accelerating speed to proficiency, and ensuring employees understand what is changing, why it matters, and how to operate successfully on day one. The Organizational Change Manager collaborates closely with project managers, business owners, and functional teams to coordinate and reinforce the activities that enable successful change. This includes stakeholder engagement, communication planning, training alignment, and operational preparation, particularly within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment where safety, compliance, and consistency are foundational. Change Strategy & Impact Assessment
- Design, develop, and deliver OCM strategies and plans for initiatives, programs, and projects ensuring change activities are tailored to the scope, complexity, and impacted teams.
- Conduct change impact assessments to understand how processes, systems, and roles will shift across impacted groups.
- Translate impacts into clear, actionable readiness plans that prepare employees for operational and behavioral changes.
- Identify adoption risks and recommend mitigation strategies that reduce disruption and strengthen readiness and speed to proficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Identify and engage the stakeholders and teams impacted by upcoming changes, ensuring they understand what to expect and how it affects their work.
- Develop and deliver clear, timely, plain-language communication materials (emails, leader talking points, FAQs, quick guides).
- Coordinate engagement with sponsors, leaders, and frontline teams to build understanding, encourage adoption, and reinforce key messages throughout the change lifecycle.
Training, Enablement & Speed to Proficiency (Refined Version)
- Conduct training needs assessments and collaborate with HR/L&D and functional SMEs to ensure training content aligns with required behavioral and operational changes.
- Design, develop, and deliver training materials when needed, based on project complexity, timeline, and resource availability.
- Support training logistics such as scheduling, communications, coordination with SMEs, and preparing leaders and teams for training activities.
- Equip teams with the resources, tools, and guidance needed to achieve speed to proficiency following go-live.
- Reinforce learning through post-go-live communications, job aids, coaching resources, or refresher sessions as appropriate.
Readiness Planning, Execution & Support
- Build and manage readiness plans that outline who needs to be ready, for what, and by when.
- Measure and monitor team-level and site-level readiness, escalating gaps early and adjusting plans where necessary.
- Support go-live preparation, operational cutover, and stabilization/hypercare activities.
Project Collaboration (OCM + PM Partnership)
- Collaborate closely with project managers to align OCM plans with project timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
- Provide OCM input into PM artifacts such as stakeholder registers and communication plans (without performing PM tasks).
- Ensure change-related activities are integrated into overall project plans and decision-making
- The OCM also contributes to the ongoing improvement of enterprise OCM tools, templates, and processes to increase clarity, consistency, and effectiveness across JHS.
Measurement, Reporting & Adoption, Use, and Proficency Tracking
- Define practical change metrics, adoption indicators, and qualitative feedback mechanisms.
- Maintain simple dashboards or trackers that provide visibility into readiness, engagement, and adoption.
- Provide concise updates and recommendations to sponsors, PMs, and site leadership.
Tools, Standards & Continuous Improvement
- Apply enterprise OCM tools, templates, and frameworks consistently across projects.
- Contribute updates to OCM methodologies, templates, and guidance materials to increase clarity, consistency, and ease of use.
- Support the growth and maturity of OCM practices and Community of Practice (CoP) across JHS through coaching, documentation, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- Strong writing, communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills required.
- Ability to explain complex concepts simply and prepare teams for operational change required.
- Experience in regulated or high-risk operational environments preferred.
- 5+ years in organizational change, business readiness, training coordination, operational support, or similar roles required.
- Experience using OCM tools (impact assessments, comms plans, stakeholder maps, readiness trackers) required.
- Strong writing, communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills required
- Prosci, CCMP, Six Sigma, PMP, or similar certification desired.
- Experience with personas/journey mapping and change metrics desired.
- Familiarity with PM tools (MS Project, Clarity) for coordination only desired.
- Pharmaceutical, manufacturing, operations, or safety-critical environment experience desired.
- Working knowledge of metrics and reporting required.
- General awareness in Basic PM Partnership Skills required.
- Functional expert in OCM Methodology & Tools required.
- Functional expert in Communication & Content Development required.
