Campus Minister
Are you a Religious Studies or a Pastoral Ministries professional looking to join an amazing Student Affairs team? If so, this position may be for you. This position is responsible for overseeing the spiritual development and leadership for students, coordinating service opportunities, oversight of student organizations, and facilitating outreach to the wider community. The Campus Minister is responsible for developing and implementing programs that engage students in spiritual growth and community service.

- Knowledge of social justice and justice advocacy, particularly as they reflect the Sisters of Mercy’s Critical Concerns.
- Knowledge of young adult and adult faith and spiritual development.
- Sensitivity to issues of women’s spirituality and commitment to developing women as leaders.
Our Ideal Candidate’s Education and Experience Include:
- Master’s degree is required in Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry, Divinity, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in any of the following: campus ministry, spiritual leadership, interfaith coordination, retreat/service event planning, advising student groups, etc.
Responsibilities for This Position Include:
- Create, plan, and facilitate programming and events for spiritual formation.
- Facilitate mission integration and serve as Mission Integration Officer.
- Facilitate co-curricular services and community engagement.
- Management of faith-based student organizations.
- Supervise, train, and aid in the development of leadership skills for all spiritual leadership student workers and African Leadership Sisters who support Chapel activities.
- Respond to campus, national or global crises to assist the campus community in grief processing, prayer service, community healing, and trauma-informed response.
- Provide pastoral counseling.
