Security Officer - Armed Campus Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Patrol in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm professionalism. You will deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication with staff, students, and visitors, while documenting observations and activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, campus policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus contacts and local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
• Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, monitoring visitor access, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and promptly communicate security-related observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years' law enforcement,corrections and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
