Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover in Grove City, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and professional customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and collaborate with clinical teams and site leadership. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and requesting medical staff and/or law enforcement support as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, observing for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access control points such as entrances, waiting areas, and restricted corridors, verifying identification and/or authorization in accordance with site policies.
  • Document patrol activity and incidents in written reports and logs, communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership, and assist with security-related investigations as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be able to work in a hospital environment involving vaccines.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
