Security Officer - Manufacturing Facility

As a Security Officer - Manufacutring Facility in Livonia, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, use computer or tablet tools as needed, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific, manufacturing location procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting issues per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
• Monitor entrances, gates, and key interior areas, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing guests to approved check-in and delivery processes.
• Complete routine reports such as shift logs, incident reports, and patrol activity reports, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
• Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
