What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing directions, coordinating with site leadership, and contacting local emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance or operational concerns.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas, assist with visitor management as directed by site policy, and support a respectful environment through de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques.
• Complete required documentation such as activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and participate in required briefings and training.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
