Position Overview

The UI/UX Developer will support NGA's Office of Eurasia by designing, developing, and maintaining web-based user interfaces that enable large-scale data analytics. This role requires close collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and end users to translate operational needs into intuitive, high-performing user experiences.



Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications

    Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering, data science, product design, or related roles
    • Bachelor's degree may substitute for 3 years of experience
    • Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience
  • Experience collaborating with data science teams and end users to develop, update, and maintain web-based UIs supporting large analytics efforts
  • Comfortable engaging directly with multiple user groups to collect, integrate, and implement feedback into UI/UX designs
  • Experience developing UIs that incorporate:
    • Image visualizations
    • Time-series data
    • Map-based visualizations
    • Multiple user input methods, including free-text entry
  • Experience connecting to Oracle databases and APIs for read/write operations
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Experience performing user management tasks
  • Proficiency in:
    • Oracle / SQL
    • React.js
    • Plotly / Dash
    • Python
    • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Experience developing and managing code within GitLab
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline management
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph
