The Vice President & General Manager (VP & GM) acts as an entrepreneurial catalyst for rapid expansion and profitability across a portfolio of businesses within CMC's Emerging Businesses Group-including Performance Reinforcing Steel (PRS), Bridge Systems, Impact Metals, and Anchoring Systems-holding full P&L responsibility. With a relentless focus on fast-paced growth, this leader proactively identifies and seizes new market opportunities, drives commercial innovation, and rapidly scales operational capabilities across diverse product lines and locations. By fostering an agile, entrepreneurial culture and collaborating closely with the SVP of the Emerging Business Group, the VP & GM transforms strategic priorities into disciplined, high-velocity execution, ensuring these businesses are positioned for accelerated and sustainable success.

What You'll Do
  • Owns strategic direction, financial outcomes, and long range planning for PRS, Bridge Systems, and Impact Metals
  • Leads budgeting, forecasting, and EBITDA performance reviews, ensuring business units meet or exceed plan
  • Evaluates market trends, competitive dynamics, and commercial opportunities to inform business strategy, pricing discipline, and portfolio optimization
  • Develop a strategic growth plan to identify and seize organic and inorganic opportunities
  • Oversees end to end operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met or exceeded
  • Drives continuous improvement in operational efficiency, cost management, inventory optimization, and supply chain performance
  • Partners with plant leaders to address operational issues and support site productivity
  • Champions a safety first culture across businesses, maintaining strong safety performance, reducing recordables, and ensuring proactive engagement with teams
  • Uses HOP principles and operational learning to address risks and drive consistent improvement
  • Leads commercial strategy and execution for key markets, including infrastructure, construction, and specialty metal systems
  • Engages with customers, industry partners, and cross functional teams to support growth, margin expansion, and customer satisfaction
  • Leads and develops directors and senior managers across multiple business lines
  • Builds talent pipelines through coaching, succession planning, and development of high potential leaders
  • Drives employee engagement and fosters a high performance culture
  • Cultivates visionary leadership by proactively identifying opportunities and setting clear and actionable direction
  • Partners with Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Safety, and Operations to achieve business objectives
  • Represents the business in ELT level forums including Flash Calls, Leadership Meetings, and enterprise initiatives
What You'll Need
  • Extensive senior leadership experience in manufacturing, construction solutions, or metals/industrial sectors
  • Proven track record of leading multi site or multi product operations with P&L accountability
  • Strong commercial acumen, operational expertise, and ability to navigate complex market environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, manage change, and build high performing teams
  • Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and organizational culture
Your Education
  • Bachelors Degree required
