Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

The Autonomous Maritime Platforms business has an immediate opening for a Systems Architect Lead for one of the Navy's top Unmanned Systems programs. As the systems architect you will be responsible for the overall technical solution, leading a team of highly skilled cross functional engineers, from development through prototype and transition to production, driving the programs objectives while identifying and mitigating high-level risks. In this role, you will be a member of the distinguished engineering leadership team driving execution of current and future iterations of critical systems supporting national defense.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expansive background in the maritime domain, platform integration, and systems engineer process, concepts, and principles
  • Extensive knowledge of unmanned systems, systems of systems, technologies, principles, theories and concepts including vehicle design, development, hydrodynamics, hull structure and materials as well as practical experience with integration and test.
  • Experience leading a large team of cross discipline engineers through rapid system design and implementation, shaping the operation and execution of program objective and milestones.
  • Experience working or leading Research & Development (R&D) initiatives and driving the development of business opportunities
  • Experience working with the Navy program office, technical warrant holders, weapon and safety review boards, and test range planning and execution.

Workplace Options:

Target salary range: USD $209,460.00/Yr. - USD $232,369.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
