Job Summary

Leads, develops and executes strategies and best practices that align with business objectives. Responsible for maximizing sales team potential in promoting and selling services and solutions directly to current and new end customers. Ensures customers are informed of new product/service introductions and prices. Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline. Sets short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluates effectiveness of current sales programs.


Essential Duties

  • Empowers and mentors staff to exceed performance goals and company objectives through strategic leadership. Facilitates constructive performance management discussions to enhance team capabilities and fosters a culture of continuous development and talent acquisition.
  • Develops and executes service team annual and strategic sales plans to foster growth and drive sales that support and align with business unit and company strategic plans. Develops department and business unit strategy, goals, objectives and systems. Partners with the operations team in project planning to ensure gross margin goals are attained.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the department's budget and forecasting.
  • Maintains and develops relationships with customers at the C-Suite level.
  • Maintains and promotes a team work environment with effective and clear communication amongst co-workers through positive leadership.
  • Provides pricing and guidance recommendations to sales staff. Reviews and approves any special negotiated rates.
  • Conducts analysis and passes on market information and trends to account managers and BDMs so they have the most current and complete data available. Utilizes the CRM dashboard to provide accountability for sales team efforts.
  • Drives customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
  • Ensures all pertinent aspects of closing, and customer communications are complete and documented.
  • Markets service products and capabilities with clients at events in a social environment. Participates in industry and association events to further enhance business relationships within the industry.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field is preferred; equivalent experience or certifications will also be considered.

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, or business development.

Excellent leadership, people management and communication skills.

Must be able to demonstrate strong negotiation and influence skills.

Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.

Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.

Strong business sense and industry expertise.
