Summary

This position reports to the Head Volleyball Coach and Director of Athletics.

Assist the Head Volleyball Coach with various aspects of the varsity volleyball program; i.e., coaching, recruiting, scheduling, camps/clinics, and game/practice management and fundraising. The assistant volleyball coach will adhere toRMACrules, regulations, andNCAADivision II bylaws. In addition, the assistant volleyball coach will represent MSUDenver in a positive manner and continue to uphold the program's philosophies and the athletic department's core values.

Duties/Responsibilities

Operations &Logistics

-Travel coordinator, equipment coordinator, community service coordinator, secure line judges for home matches, coordinate pre-match practice times, oversee match promotions and special events, liaison with marketing and communications, and other related duties.

Coaching

-Assist head coach in coaching team

-Assist with academic coaching

-Meet regularly with student athletes and track their academic progress and advise.

Game/Practice preparation/management

-Video coordinator

-Scouting, training, match, Volleymetrics.

-Statistics coordinator

-Collect and distribute statistics to coaching staff and athletes as necessary.

-On court training assistant.

Recruiting

-Assist with recruiting

-Maintaining database, in person recruiting, organize on campus visits.

Fundraising and public relations

-Run RMR tournaments

-Gym set-up, tournament director, financial handling) and other fundraisers.

Supervision of student-athletes

Required Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree.

-Experience coaching at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Knowledge and experience with operations of a collegiate volleyball program

-2 years of experience coaching at the collegiate level

Salary for Announcement

Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

This position is a 0.75 FTE, and the salary range has been prorated from the fulltime range of $41,626.00 - $43,557.00.

The anticipated hiring range for this 0.75 FTE role is $31,219.50 - $32,667.75.

This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
