About The Position
The Supervisor of Solar Operations is primarily responsible for supervising and overseeing immediate and long-term maintenance and operation for Ameren Missouri Solar sites.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervise the Operations and Maintenance of utility scale solar sites across the Ameren territory, including Missouri and Illinois.
  • Develop, prioritize, implement, track, and drive completion of preventative maintenance tasks in support of each solar site's equipment.
  • Plan, schedule, assign, and direct solar technicians in a safe, efficient, and effective manner in completing procedural, maintenance, and operation work.
  • Present and provide daily availability reports to Energy Management & Trading.
  • Assist in the review and creation of procedures, standards, and improvement initiatives.
  • Direct field operations during solar site outages, urgent equipment repairs, and other various issues.
  • Ensure all applicable industry standards and Ameren rules are followed at each site regarding WPA, PPE, training, C2Cs, etc.
  • Act as a liaison and coordinate activities between site operations and various offsite departments for work impacting solar sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required. Five or more years of power plant or industrial experience in a maintenance or construction discipline is preferred. Four or more years of directly relevant experience (in addition to the required seven years of experience) may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.

Relevant experience includes experience with electrical power or control systems (preferred, particularly for maintenance and construction activities), electrical system planning, analysis, design, or project management, etc.Consideration will also be given to military experience, with a minimum of three years in a leadership role. A thorough knowledge of electrical theory in both A.C. and D.C. electrical circuits is preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required. Experience with Ameren job management systems (EMPRV, Maximo, etc.) preferred. Must possess excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making, communication, organization and human relations skills, and be able to interact effectively with various stakeholders including union represented personnel. Must also be able to produce exceptional results while working independently or as a team member.

Working Conditions

The Supervisor of Solar Operations works a standard day shift. Callouts, including off-hours and weekend support may be required to support plant operations. Frequent travel to and from various solar operating facilities throughout Missouri and Illinois will be required.

Home reporting location can be any of the Ameren Missouri solar facilities located in the Missouri region

  • Huck Finn REC - Vandalia Missouri
  • Split Rail REC - Warrenton Missouri

Compensation Range:

$105,100.00 - $162,900.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
