Moog's Military Aircraft Group is in search of a Senior Deployment Technician to join their team!

You will report to the Test Equipment Section Head and be responsible for Test Equipment verification, validation, documentation, training and on-site successful deployment for use by customers both internal to Moog and separate companies that are external to Moog.

This position offers a 1st shift, onsite schedule at our East Aurora, NY Location.

To be considered for the Senior Deployment Technician position here's what you would typically bring:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

  • 7 years' experience of the build or maintenance of complex servo-hydraulic and electromechanical Test Systems and supporting infrastructure.

  • Travel up to 25%

  • This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.

As a Senior Deployment Technician, you will:

  • Support successful deployment of test equipment for use by customers within Moog facilities and external customers across the globe.

  • Effectively assemble and install test equipment using assembly/component engineering drawings, electrical/hydraulic schematics and all other relative blueprints. Ensuring that the test systems are built to print of the current configuration revision.

  • Maintain specification accuracy on assemblies utilizing torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, gages and other measuring devices.

  • Inspect and transfer test equipment to the Customer(s) at the completion of every project.

  • Lead engineering calibration functions using mechanical or electronic measuring equipment.

  • Lead deployment site pre-installation survey and facility readiness coordination leading to successful installation and functionality.

  • Lead formal testing and Verification Test Report of test systems with engineering, including supporting resolution on all requirements that are not successfully verified leading to Verification and Validation Test complete.

  • Interface with development engineering and designing engineering during deployment phases to provide input to possible issues and clarifications.

  • Specify parts to maintain inventories for cost effective maintenance and spares of Test Systems.

  • Monitor, in accordance with contractor control and compliance requirements, 3rd party contractors performing deployment tasks at the Moog facility.

  • Ensure all Health & Safety practices are followed, and any new issues raised during any work activities are captured. Write or assist with the completion and review of work-related Risk Assessments and adhere to them.

  • Lead user training that may include user and maintenance manuals input.

  • Support continuous improvement of AG TE Deployment processes, procedures, and standard tools in coordination with the AG TE Deployment Global Support.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $29.00-$38.00 Hourly

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
