This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role. USC's Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry is looking for a highly energetic Bilingual English / Spanish Registered Dental Assistant to join the Special Patients' Clinic! We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The highly motivated individual will provide both administrative and comprehensive chair-side assisting services for the Special Patients' Clinic and other Ostrow Clinics as needed. This individual may help with student exam proctoring, supply inventory, lab case inventory, preparing LA County DHSP audits, and compliance audits. This position may require occasional evenings, and work hours will vary (between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm). Responsibilities: May include collateral administrative tasks listed above. The Special Patients' Clinic provides dental care to geriatric and medically compromised patients. This individual will assist students and faculty with procedures, set up, and break down treatment/clinical operatories, take vitals, x-rays, A1C's, keep inventory of dental instruments and equipment, and assist with patient registration/documentation. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently with moderate technical guidance. The successful candidate should have previous experience working in one or more recognized dental disciplines, have excellent interpersonal and patient service skills, and be able to multitask.
