The Assistant Restaurant Manager at The Yacht Club is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our premier lakeside dining outlet. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage high-volume service, mentor a diverse team, and maintain the luxury standards of Horseshoe Bay Resort. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to drive guest satisfaction and operational profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily F&B service, ensuring seamless execution of restaurant dining, group accommodations, and special events.
- Team Leadership: Manage associate lifecycles, including hiring, training, performance coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in short- and long-term planning for supplies, inventory management, and labor scheduling.
- Service Standards: Lead the team in maintaining deep knowledge of food production, spirits, and wine service to enhance the guest experience.
- Administrative Oversight: Utilize POS systems (Agilysys) and Microsoft Office for inventory, scheduling, and financial reporting.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure a clean and safe environment by enforcing OSHA standards, TABC regulations, and food safety protocols.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the Food & Beverage industry. Previous supervisory or management experience in a resort or high-volume setting is preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Hospitality Management is a significant advantage.
- Certifications: Active Food Handler's and TABC Certificates are required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Agilysys or similar POS systems preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to remain active for long shifts and frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Professionalism: High standard of personal hygiene and professional appearance; commitment to a "team-first" mentality.
