Description

A Strategic Account Executive position based in Florida is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE). The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for leading the commercial strategy and overall performance of assigned national retail accounts, with Publix serving as the primary customer for this role, including sales execution, distribution growth, pricing, and program budgets. This role serves as a primary business partner to customers and internal stakeholders, driving depletion and PODS goals through effective planning, collaboration with marketing and distributors, and datadriven decision making. The position also provides visibility to executive leadership through forecasting, performance updates, and strategic recommendations.

Strategic Account Executive job responsibilities include:




  • Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic business partner for Publix, owning joint business planning, performance tracking, and program execution.


  • Execute company sales plans to achieve depletion and PODS goals.

  • Communicate and sell brand objectives, marketing programs, and initiatives.
  • Partner with marketing to develop and implement in-store programs.
  • Track program performance, planning, and distribution.
  • Maintain knowledge of SMWE brands, competitors, and category trends.
  • Prepare forecasts for budgets and brand depletions as needed.
  • Provide updates to executive leadership on presentations, calendars, and program results.
  • Report call outcomes and ensure alignment with VP, Sr. Director, State Manager, and RVP.
  • Manage assigned budgets and oversee national retail pricing within brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with distributor account executives to align sales goals and distribution.
  • Attend trade and customer events; engage with industry organizations to strengthen relationships.
  • Manage account pricing changes: develop plans, communicate, negotiate, and inform stakeholders.


Position Requirements:



  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to meet extensive travel requirements. Position will require nights and weekends for special events and customer outings.
  • 4+ years of alcohol beverage experience, preferably with chain retail experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Proficiency with IRI, Nielson and other category management tools required
  • In depth knowledge of the retail, grocery, warehouse club, and drugstore industries in areas such as operations, merchandising, category management, and finance measures required
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.



Your Compensation:

$106,887.00 - $138,963.00 per year based upon relevant experience.
