TITLE: Logistics Supervisor



POSITION OBJECTIVE: Manage and provide leadership in day-to-day and long-term aspects of container movement, methods, processes, and costs - to successfully meet or exceed established standards for safety, quality, and productivity consistent with plant direction. Ensure the transportation of products that meet or exceed customer expectations by working closely with various departments within and outside of the organization.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 3 years of managing logistics group
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics / inventory experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Effective communication, including written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, able to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and demands
  • Able to identify and address production issues efficiently
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Adobe Illustrator & Premiere Pro
  • Basic understanding of production processes and industry standards
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interaction



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • The ability to be forward-thinking, make projections, and implement strategic planning.
  • Create and or maintain a domestic logistics and warehousing plan that periodically analyzes all methods of freight transportation and inventory distribution for cost improvement, simplicity, and process improvement.
  • Manage carriers and movement of all containers.
  • Manage logistics operations in coordination with warehouse operations.
  • Maintain consistent flow of communication with customers, carriers, and all warehouses containing Minigrip products.
  • Work with broker to ensure customs clearance is complete.
  • Understand and comply with CTPAT measures.
  • Monitor inventory levels using IT systems and digital devices.
  • Ensure that shipping methods comply with applicable rules, regulations and laws.
  • Manage, review costs and transportation rates and research shipping options.
  • Track and correct shipping errors
  • Prepare bills and invoices, verifying rates.
  • Notify warehouses of all shipment schedules and/or deviations daily
  • Closely works with and supports other departments such as Cartoning and Supply Chain
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
