Overview

VTG is searching for aProgram Risk Manager professional who is interested in joining a fast-paced and dynamic work environment supporting Navy Shipbuilding program for the PMS 500 Systems Engineering management team. This candidate will lead as required in accordance with PMS 500 instruction 3058.1.


What will you do?

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day management, implementation, and maintain process integrity of the DDG 1000 risk management process.
  • Work closely with the Prime Contractor Risk Managers and provide leadership to standardize and integrate risk inputs across all functional areas.
  • Coordinate risk identification and assessment and creation and tracking of mitigation plans with all program divisions, PMS 500 Systems Engineering management, NAVSEA 05D SDM, technical managers, and engineering managers.
  • Prepare for Risk Review Boards and maintain the program Risk Register.

Do you have what it takes?

Required skills:

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to support customer requirements.
  • Must be proficient in full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
  • 5-10 years' experience in related field supporting Naval programs
  • NAVSEA experience preferred
  • Must have active DOD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain one.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $80,000-$100,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range
