This role is in support of Cencora's veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business. MWI Animal Health is a leading brand of Cencora, offering animal health services globally.

The Director, Launch Products Marketing is responsible for leading the strategic marketing efforts to support the successful launch of new product solutions. This includes developing comprehensive launch strategies, creating impactful marketing materials, and ensuring seamless deployment to support customer growth and engagement. The role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively balance strategic leadership within a matrixed team environment with hands-on implementation and execution of marketing initiatives.

This position plays a critical role in leveraging customer insights, conducting market research, competitor analysis, and utilizing data-driven decision-making to shape effective marketing strategies. With a deep understanding of customer needs, behaviors, and market dynamics, the Director will identify opportunities to drive product adoption and engagement while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in animal health product marketing, including end-to-end launch planning, commercialization of technology-enabled solutions, and close collaboration with solution developers and cross-functional teams to gain a robust understanding of product features and functionality and translating this for optimal customer adoption.

Additionally, this role requires a strong background in marketing and communications, with proven experience in driving customer adoption and engagement within the animal health sector, spanning both companion animals and production animals. The candidate will have demonstrated success in using data and analytics to inform strategies, optimizing marketing efforts to achieve measurable impact and deliver results.

This role directly influences go-to-market success and customer engagement, while leading cross-functional efforts across product, sales, and marketing teams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop Strategic Product Marketing Materials: Lead the creation and execution of product-related content, including internal and external collateral, campaigns, sales enablement tools, presentation materials, and client communications, ensuring alignment with product positioning and adoption strategies.

  • Collaborate on Market Segmentation and Adoption Drivers: Partner with product and go-to-market teams to define relevant target market segments and audiences, identify drivers of product adoption, and map client requirements to potential product features and functionality.

  • Support Innovation-to-Growth Transition: Work closely with the Customer Marketing leader to ensure a seamless transition of innovation products into the growth phase, maintaining continuity in messaging and client engagement.

  • Leverage Product Strategy and Roadmap: Understand and anticipate the product strategy and roadmap to proactively identify marketing opportunities and incorporate them into messaging and asset creation.

  • Develop Effective Product Positioning and Messaging: Use market and customer insights to develop compelling and effective product positioning, value propositions, and segment/audience-specific messaging that highlight key benefits. Ensure the "voice of customer" is infused into all deliverables to educate, inspire, and align both internal teams and external audiences.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and share best practices across key working teams and

  • Ensure Quality and Accuracy: Oversee product representation across digital platforms, publications, and collateral, ensuring consistency in taxonomy, descriptions, images, keywords, and overall quality.

  • Execute Marketing Plans: Drive the execution of comprehensive marketing plans that align with business objectives and product strategies.

  • Develop Customer Communications: Create impactful customer communications that support product marketing initiatives, ensuring clarity and relevance.

  • Coordinate Internal Communications: Collaborate with internal communications teams to align sales channel messaging, establish subject matter experts (SMEs), and ensure cohesive internal product marketing communications.

  • Create Sales Tools: Develop effective sales tools and resources to support product-based marketing initiatives and empower go-to-market teams.

  • Foster Cross-Functional Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships across functional teams, including sales, IT developers, product developers, across US and international, to drive alignment and collaboration.

  • Contribute to Team Effectiveness and Culture: Actively contribute to the marketing lead team; actively participate in team management, addressing relevant challenges and opportunities to promote effective collaboration and innovation. Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive marketing experience, with a strong emphasis on developing and executing successful marketing and communication strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams, managing complex projects, and driving measurable business outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred; an advanced degree or veterinary background is a plus.
  • Experience in animal health, for both companion and production animal, highly preferred.

Minimum Skill, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies, managing end-to-end marketing campaigns, and effectively communicating key information to both internal and external audiences.
  • Well organized with demonstrated success in planning and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms with sales, customers, and management.
  • Demonstrated success in group speaking and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and relationship building skills.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and integrate cross functional teams and each of their department needs.
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Smartsheet, and Power Point.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Abilty to translate technical product features into customer-centric messaging.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
