Security Officer - Neighborhood Patrol

As a Security Officer - Neighborhood Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location focused on the arts, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with directions and questions, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational and cultural campus setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, fire or alarm activations, and requests for assistance.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, galleries, classrooms, offices, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access, property damage, and other security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and common areas, check doors and gates for proper closure, and report maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through the approved reporting process.
• Complete detailed written reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
