Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Weekends in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. With a valid driver's license, you will respond to calls for service, assist guests and merchants, and document observations with clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, tenants, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail shopping center environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation, coordinating with property management, and contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points, observe customer and tenant activity for unusual behavior, and report hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through detailed documentation and communication to Allied Universal and site leadership.
  • Complete routine inspections and security-related checks such as door and gate checks, lighting and camera observation where assigned, and reporting of maintenance issues that may impact operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
