As a Security Officer for Retail Plaza in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and property teams. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach as you deliver reliable, agile service on every shift.

Pay Rate: $21.80 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal guidelines; use sound judgment and restraint while performing security-related duties.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner; assist with initial scene control, notifications, and coordination with property management and/or local emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity; check doors, gates, common areas, and restricted spaces for unusual conditions.
  • Complete detailed written reports and activity logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate status updates to site leadership, dispatch, and/or oncoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton, preferred.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.
  • Have CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
